Li-Chung-Pei-834x1024Sandi Pei, son of world famous architect I.M. Pei, continues the tradition of finely crafted architecture and spirited public spaces. As his father emigrated from the East to design buildings of enduring significance for the West, Sandi has used his Western education to aid in the evolution of modern China. Among the numerous buildings executed worldwide by his New York-based firm, Pei Partnership Architects, more than a dozen have been built or are underway in China. Among them, 70 miles south of Shanghai, are Suzhou Museum and a new 20-story tower for the Bank of China, Suzhou being the Pei family’s ancestral home dating back to the 14th-century.>> Back to Many Faces
